I’m an educator, organizer, and former senior legislative aide in the Colorado Senate. I’ve worked in classrooms, on campaigns, and at the Capitol, helping people understand what’s happening and how they can be part of it.
I’m interested in what it takes to turn a good idea into something that actually helps people.

My appearance in the Houston Dynamo’s 2018 U.S. Open Cup Final commercial.
I started out teaching eighth-grade U.S. History in Houston. Later, as a senior legislative aide in the Colorado Senate, I worked on the other side of decisions that affect students and teachers.
The work was often in the details: listening to stakeholder concerns, arranging a meeting, following an amendment, drafting remarks, or helping a constituent make sense of a bill. I like being able to connect those details to the people they affect.
At the Harris County Democratic Party, I built the Latino Organizing Project, connecting Latino organizations around bilingual communication and voter engagement. I’ve trained volunteers, registered voters, and helped campaigns organize their work.
Teaching and organizing have a lot in common. Both ask you to listen, explain things clearly, and give people a way to participate.

Supporting SB25-200 in the Colorado Senate
During the 2025 session, I supported the senator’s work on SB25-200. I tracked stakeholder feedback, cosponsors, opposition, and amendments, arranged meetings, drafted remarks and social media explainers, answered constituent questions, and took notes at the hearings I attended.

I started building a legislative tracker in Notion while working in the Colorado Senate during the 2025 session. I didn’t finish it that session, and I’m working on completing it now. The goal is to connect bills, stakeholders, hearings, and amendment history so the information is easier to follow.
